Portraits of People

   When I was in college, my main subject was the human figure drawn from life. Since none of my friends and relatives would sit long enough for me, I often used myself as the model.
    In this particular picture, I had been working with the reflection of my favorite pair of sunglasses. The sunglasses broke, and I had to improvise.

    This is my son Frankie at around one year of age. This particular picture won three Best in Show awards at Art Shows.
    Frankie was a wonderful subject because he was such a beautiful baby. He had bright red hair and green eyes.  He still has the red hair.

This was a portrait of a friend's baby with her favorite poem added in calligraphy. She said the message would forever keep in perspective her role as a parent.

    This is Master Ron Greene, my Tae Kwon Do instructor. I wanted to do a dynamic portrait and a Martial Artist was perfect subject matter.    
    Although he can hold a kick in the air longer than anybody I know, I worked from a photograph in this particular portrait.
